BATON ROUGE – Whether you’re a student who can’t make it home for the holidays, or simply an area resident looking for a good, healthy Thanksgiving meal without having to commit the time and effort of cooking, LSU offers a great option for Thanksgiving cuisine.
LSU Dining will again offer its annual Thanksgiving Buffet beginning Monday, Nov. 21, through Wednesday, Nov. 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day at the LSU Faculty Club, located at the corner of Highland Road and Raphael Semmes Road. Seating times are at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Items on the buffet will include hot apple cider, sweet potato soup, fall harvest salad with pepper jelly vinaigrette, grilled vegetables, mixed garden greens with dressing, roasted turkey with giblet gravy, cranberry sauce, fig pesto stuffed pork loin, spinach Madeline, mirliton casserole, sugar cane roasted sweet potatoes, cornbread dressing and assorted breads and desserts. Iced tea and water will be served as beverages.
Cost for the buffet is $16.75 per person plus tax, with gratuity not included. There is also a $1 senior citizen discount on the purchase price and children under the age of 7 can eat at a half-price rate. For reservations, call 225-578-2356.
