Biography

Ralph Izard served as the interim dean of the Manship School from June 2010 to July 2011. Izard has been on the Manship School’s faculty since 2001 and  on the faculty at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University for many years, including 12 years as director. He specializes in ethics, First Amendment and journalistic writing. He was a Freedom Forum fellow at the Media Studies Center in New York from 1998-99 and was editor of the Newspaper Research Journal, 1988-2000
