What was your previous position and where?I was a Ph.D. student at the University of Florida. Technically, I believe I was an adjunct lecturer for my last few weeks there. What brought you to LSU?A tenure-track position in the marketing department of the E. J. Ourso college of business was clearly the most favorable job offer I received. I knew I was coming to a fine institution, and in the end, it was an easy decision. What are your research interests?I’m interested generally in consumer behavior — examining the psychology behind how consumers react to marketing campaigns. Specifically, I am interested in the contextual effects caused by product bundles, pricing perceptions and factors that influence brand attitude formation. What do you hope to accomplish at LSU?I hope to become a respected researcher and teacher and to make a positive impact in both arenas for the campus. What do you enjoy most about LSU?The people with whom I interact. This is true of other faculty members, students and other campus personalities. It’s always nice to have an open, interesting and welcoming environment in which to work. Generally speaking, that’s how it is at LSU.What are your major accomplishments? On the professional front since I’ve been at LSU, I’ve had a paper published in a top-tier journal that received some press from Booz & Co., which is a nice indication that my work resonates in both the academic and professional worlds. I was also a recipient of a Tiger Athletic Fund Teaching award, which was a really great honor and a wonderful validation of my teaching effectiveness. I was also the Principal Investigator on a Louisiana Board of Regents grant that was the largest awarded to any business school in the state for its cycle, and it allowed us to set up a state-of-the-art behavioral research facility in the new Business Education Complex. I’d put these among my major professional accomplishments.
