LSU Today Flagship Faculty
What was your previous position and where?I worked at University of Nebraska at Omaha teaching research methods and budgeting.
What brought you to LSU?The outstanding reputation and national recognition of Public Administration Institute and its Master of Public Administration program attracted me the most. It was an honor for me to join the Public Administration Institute.
What is your research interest? My teaching and research interests are in public financial management, public budgeting and ethics, strategic management of public and private organizations, and economic development policy. I am particularly interested in the relationship between politics, economic performance and fairness.
What do you hope to accomplish at LSU?My aim is to continue to improve the Public Administration Institute into a nationally and internationally recognized education and research program by publishing meaningful research, teaching in the Master of Public Administration program and serving our beautiful community.
What do you enjoy most about LSU?The campus is gorgeous. After traveling the world and living in many places, it is great to know that LSU and Baton Rouge are my true home. I have great colleagues who are excellent both professionally and personally. Yet, what I enjoy the most is LSUís motivation and spirit of a top university. It is great to be a part of this effort.
What are your major accomplishments?I hope my major accomplishments are still ahead of me.
