What was your previous position and where?Before joining LSU in Fall 2003, I was a graduate research assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology.What brought you to LSU?The flagship agenda of the university, the resources offered and the friendly environment of the electrical engineering department.What is your research interest?My research area is computer vision and image processing. More specifically, I work on inverse problems in digital image and video processing, image/video analysis and computational photography.What do you hope to accomplish at LSU?My main goal is to continue to produce high-quality research. I hope to bring in more funding and contribute to the visibility of my department. I also give great importance to teaching and would like to contribute to the quality of our graduates.What do you enjoy most about LSU?I have wonderful colleagues and outstanding students. And, of course, I enjoy the beautiful campus.What are your major accomplishments?I am proud of the recognition my research has received. My publications have been cited many times, and my research has been funded by federal agencies, including the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health.
