What was your previous position and where?Before joining LSU, I worked at Bradley University as an assistant professor and before that I worked at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a research scientist.
What brought you to LSU?The transportation infrastructure in the Nation is deteriorating at an alarming rate. Joining LSU will allow me to contribute in improving the pavement infrastructure in Louisiana. Louisiana State University has been historically known as one of the top universities in the area of pavement engineering in the Nation.
What is your research interest?My research interests are advanced modeling of pavement systems, laboratory characterization of pavement materials, and environmentally-friendly pavement design and construction.
What do you hope to accomplish at LSU?I would like to pursue my strong commitment to research and advance the knowledge in the area of pavement engineering.
What do you enjoy most about LSU?The atmosphere on campus is incredible especially around football games.
What are your major accomplishments?I have authored or co-authored more than thirty five publications. I have received the Paul E. Torgersen Research Excellence Award for my work on pavement analysis and design. One of my papers was the winner of the 2006 TRB D. Grant Mickle Award.
