What was your previous position and where?I was a graduate student and subsequently, a post-doctoral scholar at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.What brought you to LSU?The weather, the food and, most importantly, the quality of the mechanical engineering faculty that recruited me.What is your research interest?My research interest is at the intersection of heat transfer, biological systems and human health. Specifically, my group is currently investigating the microscale phases and thermal properties of media (cell culture solutions), cells and tissues with application to biopreservation.What do you hope to accomplish at LSU?I hope to continue to build on my past success and to help LSU be recognized for the premier institution that it is!What do you enjoy most about LSU?I enjoy teaching and working with undergraduate and graduate students, the oak trees on campus and Tiger football. Geaux Tigers!What are your major accomplishments?I have nurtured and established several collaborations across the campus and across the state over the last decade, thus enabling me to be at the forefront of my research endeavors.I also take great pride in the success of my undergraduate and graduate students and feel that I have been a positive influence.
