What was your previous position and where?I graduated from Auburn University in1986 with a DVM degree. I did my postgraduate work at Oklahoma State University.What brought you to LSU?I wanted to come to the South and at the time I was looking for an academic position in veterinary surgery, the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine had a position available. I thought it would be a great opportunity to work for a well-known institution.What are your research interests?My research interests are in equine orthopedics and osteoarthritis.What do you hope to accomplish at LSU?I love teaching, so to become one of the top instructors in veterinary medicine through innovative teaching techniques. Also, to make the Equine Health Studies Program, in which I work in at the School of Veterinary Medicine, premier in the nation.What do you enjoy most about LSU?The sports, particularly LSU baseball. I also enjoy the people I work with.What are your major accomplishments?Being awarded top teaching honors by the veterinary class of 2008. Also, being a renown surgeon on equine cribbing stereotypic behavior.
