What was your previous position and where?

I graduated from Auburn University in1986 with a DVM degree. I did my postgraduate work at Oklahoma State University.

What brought you to LSU?

I wanted to come to the South and at the time I was looking for an academic position in veterinary surgery, the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine had a position available. I thought it would be a great opportunity to work for a well-known institution.

What are your research interests?

My research interests are in equine orthopedics and osteoarthritis.

What do you hope to accomplish at LSU?

I love teaching, so to become one of the top instructors in veterinary medicine through innovative teaching techniques. Also, to make the Equine Health Studies Program, in which I work in at the School of Veterinary Medicine, premier in the nation.

What do you enjoy most about LSU?

The sports, particularly LSU baseball. I also enjoy the people I work with.

What are your major accomplishments?

Being awarded top teaching honors by the veterinary class of 2008. Also, being a renown surgeon on equine cribbing stereotypic behavior.
