LSU Ichthyologist Lands Major Grant to Study Fish Family History

University Working on New Wayfinding Signage
Many in the LSU community as well as visitors to the campus may have seen new signage adorning the LSU campus at the start of the fall semester.
The 13 temporary signs were part of the university's Wayfinding Project, which aims to redesign the directional and informational signage throughout the campus. More >>

HRM accepting nominations for Spring 2010 LEAD...Emerge
HRM Training and Development is currently accepting nominations for the Spring 2010 LEAD...Emerge program. LEAD...Emerge is LSU's leadership development program for new supervisors, candidates for promotion to a supervisory position or current supervisors desiring professional and personal development. Deans, directors and department chairs may nominate either professional or classified employees by completing a nomination form online. The deadline to submit nominations for the Spring 2010 class is Friday, Dec. 4. College of Engineering announces new appointments
The College of Engineering recently announced that Lee Killett Rayner has been named director of development and Yvette "Mimi" LaValle has been named director of communications. Rayner previously served as associate director of development for LSU's Biological & Agricultural Engineering and Construction Management & Industrial Engineering Departments. In her new role, Rayner will direct the College of Engineering's efforts to raise $100 million by 2010. Rayner has a B.S. in finance from LSU. LaValle was previously associate director of communications and alumni relations. In her new position, she will direct strategic communications and marketing efforts for the College. LaValle has a B.A. in English from the University of Georgia.
