United Way campaign kicks off
The United Way campaign will end on Nov. 27 for LSU. Last year, the LSU community raised more than $218,000 and LSU is raising the goal this year to $225,000. To make a donation, contact your department coordinator or Donna Torres at 578-1623.

Discount tickets for Les Miserables
Faculty, staff and students can receive a priority offer for Les Miserables, showing Feb. 4-9 in the Riverside Centroplex Theatre. AgCenter 'Serving Louisiana' recipes
The LSU AgCenter has found a new way to serve Louisiana - with a cookbook full of recipes collected from a wide assortment of friends.

“Serving Louisiana” features more than 240 recipes, including contributions from famous Louisiana chefs John Folse, Paul Prudhomme, Mike Anderson, Joe Major and the late Justin Wilson. The cookbook sells for $19.95 and can be ordered by calling your local LSU AgCenter office or contacting Anne LeJeune at 578-4161. For more information, contact Elma Sue McCallum at (225)578-4238.

Volunteers called for Ocean Commotion
The Office of University Relations and the Louisiana Sea Grant College Program are in need of volunteers for the fifth annual Ocean Commotion, Nov. 7, on the concourse of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

The day-long exhibition will feature more than 65 exhibitors educating Louisiana school children on the coast, the environment and the importance of conserving both. Volunteers will be needed to assist demonstrators, chaperone students and decorate and dismantle the event. Volunteers are encouraged to work a minimum of one hour from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. Nov. 7 and are asked to register by Nov. 4.
