Joseph Powell
Environmental Studies and Geography Editor
I acquire manuscripts in anthropology, geography and environmental
studies. Within these broadly defined fields, I am interested in
manuscripts with an interdisciplinary approach that combine cutting-edge
theory with empirical analysis of current problems in landscape
studies, cultural and human geography, ethnography, science and
technology studies and the history of science and technology in
particular. I am also acquiring manuscripts that focus on the environmental
history of Louisiana and the broader “Gulf Region” including:
the history of rivers, conservation of key plant and animal species,
wetlands and coastal environments and problems of environmental
pollution across the region.
