Eligibility and Requirements
You are eligible to apply to the LA-STEM Research Scholars Program if you:
- have completed high school junior year
- will contribute to the life and diversity of the STEM student body by supporting the goals of this program of respecting and learning from fellow students with diverse backgrounds and experiences
- plan to pursue an undergraduate degree in a STEM discipline
- are interested in pursuing a terminal degree (PhD) in a STEM discipline
- are interested in research and mentoring
- are a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- have an academic record that meets the following criteria:
- GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 (un-weighted) scale
- ACT of 24 or higher or SAT of 1100 or higher
