Mission Statement

To establish a National Estuarine Research Reserve in Louisiana. The first objective is to prepare a draft grant application for the State of Louisiana to use as a basis for applying for Federal funding of an Estuarine Research Reserve per congressional regulations for the reserve system. With 40% of the US coastal wetlands, Louisiana would be a substantial addition to the NERR program
