Louisiana Marine Education Resources

What is LaMER?

The need for science education, especially as it pertains to the stewardship of coastal environments and natural resources, is more urgent than ever. To promote wise management, use and conservation of Louisiana’s rich coastal resources, Louisiana Sea Grant provides a variety of formal and informal education materials on this Web site – Louisiana Marine Resources (LaMER). Visitors will find accurate information about marine and aquatic ecosystems, as well as other topics, to help stimulate awareness of our close relationship to the environment. Simply put, LaMER serves as a repository for regionally relevant marine education resources.
