Graduate student’s research on mental health issues facing Black students featured in LSU’s Daily Reveille.

Kimberlye Dean, a graduate student in the clinical area, was featured on the front page of LSU’s Daily Reveille for her research on factors related to mental health treatment seeking among Black students. Under the supervision of Julia Buckner, PhD, Ms. Dean’s thesis is an initial step in a program of research aimed at improving understanding of mental health processes (including treatment seeking) among historically underrepresented groups. To learn more about her research see the Reveille article or Dr. Buckner’s website.
