In this lecture, Professor Russo addresses the creation of a hypothetical set of literary commonplaces to which authors in the Haitian Diaspora refer.  The links between the authors addressed (Métellus, Laferrière, Des Rosiers, and Danticat) reveal the creation of a virtual community whose experiences does not differ if they are in Europe or North America -- the US or Canada.
