Agricultural and Extension Education, and Youth Development (AEEYD)

Distance Education

We can now deliver most or all of the courses for a Master’s degree and many of the courses for a Ph.D. degree via distance learning (compressed video and web-based courses). The attached list shows the courses that are consistently available via distance learning.

Compressed video courses are offered at numerous sites around the state, including those on the attached map. Other compressed video sites may be available through parish school boards, parish libraries, parish cooperative extension offices, or other universities. Web based courses do not require regular class attendance.

You can apply for admission on-line and then send copies of your official transcripts and GRE scores to LSU’s Graduate Admissions Office. Please notify a faculty member that you have applied for this program so that we can keep you “in the loop” with program information. If you have not taken the GRE, it can be taken by computer at most universities and the results will be reported to LSU in 2-3 weeks.
