LSU to Host Third Annual Digital Media Festival
LSU’s Communication across the Curriculum program will hold its 3rd Annual Digital Media Festival April 16-17. The festival is a celebration of work submitted by college students from across the state in all forms of digital media, from photography to film to animation.
Submissions are being accepted now through March 27.
Participation is free and open to all undergraduate students enrolled in an accredited Louisiana university. Students may submit up to two entries in each of the six multimedia categories: film and video, animation, journalism, integrated media, photography and experimental.
The submissions will be judged by industry professionals and the winning pieces will be on display during the spring festival. There will be a formal awards ceremony and a presentation of prizes for winners.
The two-day festival will also feature speakers from within the digital media industry, including keynote speakers Philip Holt, the vice president and studio general manager of EA Sports, and Jerry Gilbert, president of PostDigital, formerly known as Louisiana Media Services.
