Thirty Years of Rock and Roll: Photography by Larry Hulst
Take a trip through the decades of Rock and Roll with this exhibit of concert photographs taken between 1969 and 1999. The 75-piece exhibit is a study of Rock and Roll through the eyes of the photographer. Larry Hulst has been snapping photos at concerts for over 30 years and has attended approximately 2,800 shows. Hulst’s stunning black and white images document the music’s energy and emotion, and provide an aesthetic portrait of each musician’s individuality. They ca pture both the public spectacle of the performance and the private lifestyle of the performer.
The exhibit, organized by the Colorado Springs Museum, runs through Sunday, October 26, 2008 at the LSU Student Union Art Gallery.
