After Katrina
Donn Young, photographer for the Port of New Orleans, spent most of his professional life building a collection of photos capturing the sights and people of the Big Easy. Hurricane Katrina demolished that collection, but LSU graduate students and archivists from Hill Memorial Library salvaged what they could and put the rescued pieces on display in Hill Memorial.
Young’s compelling post-storm photos of the Crescent City round out the exhibition, which is being held in conjunction with the exhibition 40 Days and 40 Nights on display at the Louisiana State Archives.
After Katrina remains on display in Hill Memorial Library through November 8, 2008.
