Strengthening Intellect A combination of challenging curriculum, distinguished staff, and a world-class faculty defines the LSU Honors College, which is housed in the historic French House. Students receive all the major benefits of a small liberal arts environment within a large research university. Freshmen take small, interdisciplinary seminars that are team-taught by stellar faculty. Class size is limited to no more than 18 students, and participants live and take classes in an intimate campus-within-a-campus. All this individualized attention creates tangible results: the Honors College regularly produces Goldwater and National Science Foundation scholars, and a majority of graduates proceed directly into advanced degrees.
