Special Academic Programs - Study Abroad

Undergraduate students planning to participate in an approved LSU Study Abroad Program may apply for the Study Abroad Scholarship.  To be considered, students must have at least a 3.00 cumulative grade-point average, a minimum of 30 earned hours at LSU (at the time of application), and must be concurrently enrolled for full-time status at LSU during the study abroad period.  The maximum award is $1,000 for a summer semester, $2,000 for a fall or spring semester, and $3,000 for an academic year (fall and spring).  This scholarship is not applicable for any programs that occur during Intersession. Applications are available on this website each year in January for the upcoming Summer, Fall and Spring semesters.  The deadline for the application is early March.  Recipients and non-recipients are generally notified by mail in late spring.
