May 2008

May 1

  • Deadline for students (except LAW) to request Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Student Aid to cancel a loan for Spring 2008 or for the 2007-2008 academic year.

  • Deadline for students (except LAW) to return all required documents to Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Student Aid to receive a Spring 2008 loan or to receive a loan for the 2008-2008 academic year.

May 7

  • Deadline for students (except Law) to accept a loan for the Spring 2008 semester or for the academic year.

May 18

  • Earliest date funds are applied to a Law student's account in the Office of Bursar Operations for the Summer 2008 semester. Please allow 5-7 business days for a direct deposit or refund check.

May 21

  • Financial Aid appeals mailed to students not meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress based on 2007-2008 coursework.

May 29

  • Earliest date for Law students to request an Emergency Loan to assist with purchasing books for Summer 2008; reserved for students who have not received a credit balance from the Office of Bursar Operations for their aid.

June 2008

June 1

  • Earliest date funds are applied to a student's account (except law) in the Office of Bursar Operations for the Summer 2008 semester. Please allow 5-7 business days for a direct deposit or refund check.

June 4

  • Students employed under Work-Study funds are eligible to begin working for Summer 2008.

June 11

  • Earliest date for students (except law) to request an Emergency Loan to assist with purchasing books for Summer 2008; reserved for students who have not received a credit balance from the Office of Bursar Operations for their aid.

  • Deadline for Law students to request an Emergency Loan for Summer 2008.

  • Application receipt deadline date for filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for TOPS for 2008-2009.

  • Deadline for Law students to return all required documents to Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Student Aid to receive a Summer 2008 loan (if requesting summer only loan).

July 25

  • Deadline for Law students to request Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Student Aid to cancel loan for Summer 2008 (if requesting summer only loan).

  • Deadline for Law students to accept a loan for the Summer 2008 semester (if requesting summer only loan).

  • Deadline for students (except Law) to request an Emergency Loan for Fall 2008.

  • 14th class day for Fall 2008; Students receiving TOPS must be enrolled as full-time students through this date to be eligible to receive funds for the fall semester.

September 15

  • Deadline to submit information to resolve an Unofficial Withdrawal situation which occurred in the Spring 2008 semester.

October 2008

October 15

  • Deadline to submit information to resolve Unofficial Withdrawal situation which occurred in the Summer 2008 semester.

November 2008

November 15

  • Priority date to submit all required documentation to guarantee full scholarship consideration for LSU entering freshman awards for 2008-2009.

November 26

  • Deadline for Law students to request Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Student Aid to cancel loan for Fall 2008 (if requesting fall only loan).

  • Deadline for Law students to return all required documents to Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Student Aid to receive a Fall 2008 loan (if requesting fall only loan).
