Rachel Hall is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Louisiana State University. Her first book, Wanted: The Outlaw in American Visual Culture, provides a history of the practice of outlaw display. She is currently writing a second book, Performing Transparency in the Age of Insecurity, about the turn to transparency as a means of showing security. Hall teaches visual culture and performance studies.
