Goals for the Consortium include the fostering of dialogue among scholars from community colleges, state universities, and private institutions in Louisiana, and the development of Medieval and Renaissance studies on a local level

WHEN Saturday, October 23, 2004, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
WHERE Southeastern Louisiana University, Hammond
MEETING The LCMRS will meet jointly with the Louisiana Classical Association.  Separate LCMRS and LCA sessions will proceed simultaneously during the morning and afternoon; however, members of each organization will be free to attend sessions of the other.  The LCMRS and LCA will meet together for a lunch/round-table discussion on the use of popular culture to attract students and the public to more serious scholarship

PROPOSALS The LCMRS welcomes proposals for papers based on the current research of scholars in all disciplines dealing with the Medieval and Renaissance periods.  If you would like to present a paper or participate in the round-table discussion, send an abstract of not more than 300 words by July 15 to:
