When LSU Manship School students sit down to edit their audio and video they do so on the same computer editing software as many of the top professionals in the field.  The Manship School has the largest Avid Newscutter XP training facility in North America.  Each computer edit station is connected to a 1.6-terabyte Avid audio-video server.  Anything edited and stored on the server can be uploaded to the Avid AirSpace server in the studio.  This means once students digitize their field tapes, they can work in a tapeless environment all the way to air on the campus television station.
