Forum Postings

12/13/2010

We will continue our classroom discussion in English 2025 and work on your writing abilities is through posting responses in our Moodle forums. Students are required to make 2 formal and substantial postings to one of these forums throughout the term. You can later use these forum postings as a way of reviewing for the midterm and final exams in this course.

After each class period, I will post a new forum discussion question. You should check Moodle after each class to see if I have posted a particular question that sparks your interest.

Next, you will post a response to one of these questions twice during the semester. Each response must be well-written and thoughtful, so I suggest that you begin your response in a word file, and the cut and paste it into the Moodle forum when you are happy with it. Each response must be at least 800 words in length (I will not count anything shorter), must demonstrate a thorough understanding of the work being discussed, and must be relatively free of errors in grammar and spelling. If you are not the first person responding to the question, then your response must also respond to at least one other poster.

Finally, while the deadlines are relatively flexible for responding to the forums,  you must have posted your first response no later than 11:59 p.m. Thursday, December 16th, and your second response no later than 11:59 p.m. Monday, January 3rd. If you have not posted your responses by these dates, you will receive a 0 on this assignment, and so will be unable to pass this class since the postings constitute a major writing assignment in this course. Each forum posting is worth 15% of your final grade in this course.

If you are having difficulty uploading your postings, contact the Help Desk at 578-0100.
