- The place to go before you go. Solid advice on what vaccines you will need, what diseases are prevalent, etc. A must see site if you plan to visit some of the lesser developed countries.

- Another must see site, this webpage gives you basic background on countries around the world. Used to be called the KGB-CIA Factbook but the warming up of relations ended the KGB connection.

- A good website on a good country to see if you're interested in tropical jungles or volcanos or just lying in a superior facility on the beach.

- Department of State Background
- The State Department's briefing papers on various countries. Intended for businessmen who want to set up shop in another country but there's solid advice for travelers as well.

- Another must see site for travelers. The State Department tells you what papers you will need to enter the country, whether there is civil unrest, what criminal penalties apply, whether your medical insurance will work.

- One of my favorite places to visit. Beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife. You can stay in the town of Jackson or rent a ski condo in one of the nearby resorts.
