- AJR Guide
- The American Journalism Review guide consists of hyperlinks to various reporter's hot lists. There's a small list of recommended sources as well.
- Beat Page
- The original and still good. Very selective list of links. This was originally created at the Dallas Morning News to help reporters find their way around the Internet.
- CRS Reports
- Normally, Congressional Research Reports are not made public. However, several congressmen have started posting them on the web. This page will give you a current listing of the CRS reports available and how to get them.
- Direct Search
- Gary Price, reference librarian at George Washington University has compiled a massive list of links to resources often missed by the search engines.
- Direct Search II
- More links from Price. This page contains bBiographies, library catalogs, business and economics, science and technolgy links.
- InfoMine
- Bills itself as a scholarly guide to using the Internet for research. Solid page with lots of links to California data.
- Journalism Net
- Created by a Canadian investigative reporter, this site contains links to resources in several other countries. Particularly strong for Canadian and United Kingdom links. Also has some links in French.
- Journalist's Guide
- Very heavy on federal government links. Created by a journalism teacher at the University of Maryland. Well organized by subject matter.
- MegaSources
- The definitive list of links for journalists. Only problem is that there's so many of them.
- Nat'l Press Club
- The Friedheim library at the Press Club has a site with lots of links to federal government resources.
- News Researcher
- One of my favorites. Easy to use, lots of good links, designed for journalists by a journalism researcher.
- NYTimes Guide
- A selective guide to the net. Doesn't have everything that Megasources has but it does have the best of the best. You will have to go through a free registration process the first time you access the Times site.
- Power Reporting
- Bill Dedman may have the best web page out there for journalism research. Solid information on everything from journalism research to journalism humor?
- SPJ's List
- This is not a list of research links but rather a list of resources for using the Internet. Everything from using the Internet as a phone line to doing legal research.
