Professor Donald M. Baltz

Our lab has diverse interests that are unified by a common goal: to understand the lives of fish in their natural habitats. Our insights into life histories, microhabitats, and nursery habitats are generated primarily by research in estuaries and marine ecosystems. We approach questions at a variety of scales and with a diversity of tools including controlled field experiments in the marshes of south Louisiana and the estuaries of Belize and Mexico.
