Spoken Language Processing Lab

Brittan A. Barker, Ph.D., Director

Are you, or your child, interested in participating in research at the Spoken Language Processing Lab?

We hope that you are interested in helping us find out more about people's ability to learn through listening. If you would like to schedule a time to visit our laboratory, if you have any questions/comments concerning our research, or if you know of other families who may be interested in our studies--please call the lab at 225.578.3935. If no one is available to answer your call, please leave a voicemail message and we will return your call as soon as possible. We look forward to hearing from you.

Where is the Spoken Language Processing Lab at Louisiana State University in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders?

Our lab is housed within Hatcher Hall off of Fieldhouse Drive on the LSU campus. We are located in the same building as the LSU Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic. Our clinic has reserved parking spots located on South Stadium Drive by the airplane across from the LSU Police Building.

After scheduling a visit with our lab, we will send you a map and an appointment letter that confirms the day and time of your laboratory visit. The appointment letter will allow you access onto campus through the gated, gaurd booths. In order to park on campus, it will be your responsibility to go to the LSU Police Station on South Stadium Drive and obtain a visitor's parking hang tag. This hang tag will allow you to park in the designated Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic spots on South Stadium Drive. After parking, follow the purple tiger paws painted on the sidewalk--they will lead you right to our Clinic's doors. Once you arrive, please check in at the clinic's front desk. A member of the lab will meet you shortly thereafter. See you soon!
