LSU Will Be Closed Friday, Jan. 19
Due to continued problems with water pressure related to the freezing temperatures this week, LSU will be closed tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 19. All classes and events scheduled for Friday are cancelled or postponed.
LSU's priority is to maintain adequate water pressure for its 5,000 on-campus residents; therefore, all non-essential employees are asked to remain off campus. Essential personnel should check with their supervisors to see if they are needed on Friday.
The LSU Laboratory School and the LSU Early Childhood Education Laboratory Preschool will also be closed on Friday. For information on any LSU athletic events that are scheduled, please check www.lsusports.net for updates about those events.
The 5 Dining Hall at LSU will be open on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m and the 459 Commons Dining Hall will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. More information on LSU services, such as Tiger Trails buses, Campus Transit, the UREC, the Testing Center, Middleton Library, the Union, and more, will be posted to the LSU homepage at www.lsu.edu as information becomes available. Please check back often for updates.
The university's closure this week will result in some changes to the academic calendar. Those will be announced in the next several days, including changes to the deadlines for adding courses, dropping courses without receiving a grade of "W," receiving refunds for withdrawing, and more.
