LSU will close at 8 p.m. today

Campus will reopen at 10 a.m. Saturday

Due to continued inclement weather and the closure of some roadways, LSU will close today at 8 p.m., and re-open at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at which time all activities, including final exams, will resume. The Testing Center will issue its last round of testing today at 6 p.m. in order for test-takers to complete their exams by 8 p.m.

Tiger Trails buses will run until 8 p.m. tonight. Buses will resume service at 9 a.m. on Saturday, shutting down at 6 p.m. Saturday. Campus Transit will offer service tonight until 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 5 p.m. through midnight.

Friday exams scheduled for/after 8 p.m. will be held at 8 p.m. on Saturday in the same room as originally assigned. Saturday exams scheduled at 7:30 a.m. will be held at 10 a.m. in the same room as originally assigned – with limited exceptions (see below).  Students with extenuating circumstances or conflicts that affect their ability to attend exams should contact their professors.

The following examination locations will be moved, unless your instructor has already communicated an alternative to a scheduled in-class exam.

In addition, all exams scheduled for Dodson Auditorium have been relocated to Campbell Auditorium in the Cox Communications Academic Center for Student Athletes.

Additional Information:

  • Residence halls will remain open through Sunday at noon. Students in need of further housing accommodations should contact their hall directors.

  • The 5 Dining Hall will close at 7 p.m. on Saturday night.

  • Middleton Library will close at 8 p.m. tonight., reopen at 7 a.m. Saturday and will close at 6 p.m. Saturday.

  • The Student Union will close at 8 p.m. on Friday and open at 9 a.m. Saturday.

  • Saturday’s ACT session at the LSU Testing Center is cancelled. Those registered for the session should contact ACT for information about rescheduling.

  • The Holiday Shuttle will still run to the Baton Rouge and New Orleans airports as previously scheduled on Saturday.
