Community University Partnership (CUP)
Organizes efforts in Old South Baton Rouge, including youth leadership and cultural development, community events hosted on campus, working with community agencies, organizing community visits to campus, campus volunteerism in the community, or joint community projects with LSU, and serving as LSU’s community outreach ambassador 

 

Center for Community Engagement, Learning, and Leadership (CCELL)
Organizes service-learning opportunities that connect classrooms and courses with community experiences 

 

Volunteer LSU
Obtains volunteer needs and alerts current faculty, staff, and students of those volunteer and service opportunities 

 

Opportunities for Youth (Programs) 

SPRINGFEST Recruitment Weekend
A recruitment weekend that targets ethnic minority high school juniors (rising seniors) and provides the opportunity for students to spend three days and two nights on the LSU Campus at the end of Spring.

 

Black Male Leadership Initiative Preview Day

During one day, the BMLI Fellows Program hosts Black male youth, grades 7-9, have the opportunity to tour the LSU campus, meet faculty and staff, dialogue with Black college males, and hear from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.  This program is by invitation only.  Please contact BMLI at bmli@lsu.edu if you are interested in your school participating.
