Tigers Tutoring
Tigers Tutoring is organized by Volunteer LSU's Youth and Education Focus Area Chair. Up to 25 LSU students will volunteer at Lanier Elementary School for 2 to 5 hours each week. Tutoring begins in October and continues until the end of the spring semester. Tutors will participate in an orientation and monthly trainings.
If you are interested in being a Tiger Tutor, please email a resume and a cover letter to volunteer@lsu.edu by September 16. We will begin training and orientation on October 9 and 10.

Lincoln Theater
Register for the Lincoln Theater clean-up project scheduled for Friday, September 20 from 2-5pm. Join LSU students and Old South Baton Rouge community members in clearing out and cleaning the Lincoln Theater on Myrtle Walk. The historic location was home to the planning of the 1953 Baton Rouge Bus Boycott and is being renovated into the Louisiana Black History Hall of Fame. Register by Thursday, September 12.Space is limited. Transportation and lunch are not provided, but carpooling will be coordinated.
CHANGE Break
Join Volunteer LSU for one of this year’s CHANGE Break experiences to Florida and Ecuador. During Spring Break, a group of students will travel to Pensacola and Tallahassee, FL to work with environmental organizations on coastal preservation. The cost of participation is $100. During the summer, students will travel to Quito, Ecuador for a 10 experience working with a local orphanage and doing construction. The cost of participation is $1,100. Campus Life will work with all interested students so finances are not a barrier to participation.To apply for both or either experience, please submit the online application and email a cover letter and résumé to volunteer@lsu.edu.
