Kitchens on the Geaux

Kitchens on the Geaux use service as a tool to increase awareness of food insecurity in the Baton Rouge area, recycle food from the Baton Rouge community, serve nourishing meals to in-need populations, build community partnerships, and provide educational opportunities to LSU students. The organization works to meet the hunger and nutritional needs in Baton Rouge.

Kitchens on the Geaux provides leadership and service opportunities to students and educational benefits to adults, seniors, children, and families in need. Through community meals, we seek to foster relationships across social, economic and generational boundaries. Kitchens on the Geaux is in its formative years and is looking for passionate individuals to help establish a strong sustainable program in the community.
