What is Volunteer LSU?
Volunteer LSU is the on-campus community service center for LSU students, faculty, and staff. We connect the campus community with volunteer programs by working with a diverse group of partners interested in volunteerism.
How can I get involved?
1. Sign up for our weekly e-newsletter to be notified of upcoming projects.
2. Follow "Volunteer LSU" on Facebook.
2. You can also email volunteer@lsu.edu or call 225.578.5160.
3. You can contact one of the Volunteer LSU executive board members or focus group leaders. List of leaders coming soon.
How often do I have to participate with Volunteer LSU in order to be considered a member?
If you’re interested in being part of Volunteer LSU, here’s the good news – there is no commitment involved! To become a member, simply participate in one or more of our service projects. We encourage you to volunteer for as many events as you like, but by no means will participation be required. One thing we do ask: if you make a commitment to help out at a specific project, please hold yourself to this – our volunteers depend on it.
How can I donate to Volunteer LSU?
You can donate money, supplies, equipment, food, water, or anything else you would like. Email volunteer@lsu.edu or call (225) 578-5160.
What are the focus areas?
Volunteer LSU concentrates most of its time and energy in five areas of service. However, we are not limited to these. Learn more about each focus group here.
