About Spring Invitational

Students with outstanding academic records are selected to participate in the LSU Spring Invitational Program. The Board of Elementary and Secondary Education has approved this event; therefore, attendance will count as an excused absence from a Louisiana high school.

Please review the Spring Invitational information on our Web site carefully. You will learn about the exciting activities we have planned for you and the obvious advantages of participating in the Spring Invitational Program. At Spring Invitational, you have the opportunity to receive credit for college courses, be the first freshmen to schedule fall classes and experience the “Tiger spirit.” Please discuss the program with your family because they are invited as well, and their participation can make the experience even more rewarding.

Remember, space is limited and reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you cannot make a testing session on Wednesday afternoon, be sure to attend the opening session, “Preview 2010” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14. To take advantage of the early class scheduling privilege, arrange to stay on campus until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 16.

Since only the top high school seniors are eligible, you are one of an elite group. We are very pleased to officially invite you to this prestigious event and look forward to seeing you on April 14.

Sincerely,
Bonnie Alford, Director

Office of Orientation
