Costs
Spring Freshman Orientation; Summer Freshman Orientation; and Freshman Orientation, Advising, and Pre-registration (Sessions 1-7)
All new students attending this program must pay an orientation fee of $86 plus a mandatory testing fee of $30 for a total of $116 per person. Payment of these fees entitles students to take the algebra and/or trigonometry exams and any other advanced standing exams offered during orientation if they choose at no additional cost. The fees also covers a copy of the LSU General Catalog, the Experience LSU handbook, lunch on Day 2, and much more. If you pay by credit card, a 2.5 percent processing fee will be added to your total.
Spring Invitational Program
All new students attending this program must pay an orientation fee of $90 plus a mandatory testing fee of $30 for a total of $120 per person. Payment of these fees entitles students to take the algebra and/or trigonometry exams and any other advanced standing exams offered during orientation if they choose at no additional cost. The fees also covers a copy of the LSU General Catalog, Experience LSU handbook, and much more. If you pay by credit card, a 2.5 percent processing fee will be added to your total.
You may have lunch in an LSU dining unit on Friday. The lunch is optional and will cost $4.50, to be paid when you submit your reservation form. All other meals and refreshments listed in the Sessions, Schedules, and Costs section are complimentary. You should bring enough money to purchase additional meals, such as breakfast, at the many dining options available on or near campus.

When your written cancellation notice is received by the deadline listed in the chart above, a full refund of your fees will be processed upon the conclusion of the program.
If your written notice is received after the deadline, no refunds will be available. After the indicated refund date, we will have reserved space for you in the testing sessions, set aside a room, and prepared your schedule and supplies.
Residential Life Refund Schedule
If you requested housing during the Freshman Orientation, Advising and Preregistration program, and require a refund of your housing fees, you must contact Jacque Brown at brownj@lsu.edu at least 14 days PRIOR to your scheduled arrival time in order to be granted a refund for any housing fees paid.
