Frequently Asked QuestionsWhen will I receive my first paycheck? Academic employees are appointed for the nine-month academic year. Pay day for academic employees is the 21st of each month September through May. If the 21st falls on a weekend or holiday, the pay day is the last working day prior to the weekend or holiday. Employees can elect to have their salary paid to them over 12 months instead of nine; you will need to submit a request for this option. Fiscal year payroll schedules and other payroll information are available through the Payroll Office. What are the rules and regulations for University-related travel and reimbursement? The Office of Accounts Payable and Travel issues travel advances and reimburses authorized travel expenses. In order to qualify for travel reimbursement, you must secure authorization to travel by your department. Additionally, travel arrangements must be made through the state’s contracted travel agency. Permanent Memorandum (PM)-13 outlines in detail the regulations for travel and the state’s per diem rates. For additional information, contact your departmental administrative assistant and/or the Office of Accounts Payable & Travel. |
