Must have analytical and technical skills to study the ratings and market while being able to supervise local sales staff in the packaging, pricing and selling of available airtime. Excellent leadership, negotiation, organization, oral and writing skills are needed, as well as the ability to build relationships. Must be familiar with TvScan, Scarborough & CMR. Customer Service Center Research Positions (Graduate Students) - Baton Rouge The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) is seeking graduate students in the Library Science and Mass Communications programs for its new Customer Service Center. The Customer Service Center will act as a focal point for incoming LDEQ calls. Students will be responsible for answering basic questions via the phone and/or forwarding more complex questions to the proper person at LDEQ. Students will also be responsible for creating and maintaining a knowledge base of questions and answers. Students will interview employees and conduct research at LDEQ to populate the knowledge base. Producer-Mischke Show/Overnight Board Operator - St. Paul, Minnesota KSTP-AM has an opening for a producer-board operator. Produce live programming for The Mischke Show. Monitor radio stations during automation functions overnight. Troubleshoot and correct routine automation system failures. Work cooperatively with ENCO administrator and engineering staff. Record network feeds for later airing. Take transmitter readings and change signal patterns as required. Assist AM1500 Morning Show as needed. Execute program log. Minimum one year professional broadcast experience operating a console effectively required. Broadcasting equipment troubleshooting & computer experience necessary. Knowledge of radio station computer systems, preferably ENCO. Ability to act calmly and professionally in all situations and make critical decisions in a crisis situation.
