Recently named president-elect of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the official accrediting agency for all K-12 schools and colleges in an eleven-state region, Lindsay served LSU as a dean, associate vice chancellor, and vice provost for almost 20 years before retuning to faculty status in 1999. In 2002 and 2003 she was interim provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs and now serves as executive assistant to the chancellor. She teaches courses in public relations, media management, and history. Her research interests are in organizational communication, planning, and crisis communication. In 2001, she began a series of seminars through the Manship Schools Reilly Center for Media and Public Affairs designed to help senior executives improve their knowledge and skills in dealing with the media.
