Denis Wu teaches and conducts research in the areas of international communication, mass communication theories, and political communication. He has professional experience in magazine editing, survey research, and advertising in Taiwan. He joined the faculty in 1998. He is currently serving on the editorial boards of Mass Communication & Society and Journal of Political Marketing. In 2004-5, he is the head of Mass Communication & Society division of AEJMC. He is currently taking sabbatical and working on his book tentatively entitled, "The Asian-American Political Candidate: Media, Strategies, and Issues."
