Billy Ross served
17 years as director of the journalism school at Texas Tech University and
was a long-standing member of the Accrediting Council on Education in
Journalism and Mass Communications. He is a past president of the American
Society of Journalism School Administrators, the American Academy of
Advertising and Kappa Tau Alpha. He has experience as an advertising
manager, publisher, reporter, and public relations director. Since retiring,
Dr. Ross has been a distinguished professor at the Manship School.
