Memorable moments in 2011
As 2011 comes to a close, we didn’t want to forget some of the great accomplishments LSU has achieved over the last 12 months.
At LSU, we have always been champions on and off the field. With our football team on its way to the BCS National Championship game, it’s easy to prove it’s been a great year for the university.
We have also excelled in academics, research, and outreach this year. For the fourth consecutive year, LSU is ranked in the first tier for "Best National Universities" in U.S. News & World Report's 2012 edition of America's Best Colleges. And, LSU's landscape architecture program ranks number one in the nation.
Our graduate programs have improved, the number of undergraduate students has increased, and our faculty contributes to award-winning research.
There are many great things to look back on at LSU, but we’re also looking forward to the future.
