The Federal College Work-Study program allows undergraduate students who show financial need to earn money to assist with their educational expenses.  Students interested in CWSP should file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) early, but after January 1, each year as this program has limited funding.

Employment through CWSP allows students the flexibility of participating in either on-campus employment or in a community service work site.  There are more than 20 agencies participating in the community service aspect of the Work-Study program.  Many of these organizations are directly related to LSU’s academic programs and offer students the opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge toward fulfilling social needs within the community.

Students participating in CWSP can work up to 20 hours per week and earn up to $2,400 per year.  Students earn an hourly wage and are paid bi-weekly.  Students must be enrolled full-time and not be placed on academic probation to be eligible for employment through CWSP.  Graduating seniors who are part-time in their final semester may have permission to work in a campus job
