LSU to Reopen Monday, Sept. 8
Due to the post-hurricane damage assessment and cleanup effort, LSU will remain closed through Friday, Sept. 5. Classes will resume Monday, Sept. 8.

Printing Services Relocated
LSU Printing Services located at 3555 River Road currently remains without power. Their customer service and administrative offices have been relocated to the Copy and Mail Center.

Power is now available to Edward Gay Apartments
LSU officials have confirmed that power has been restored to the Edward Gay Apartment complex. LSU continues to work with Entergy to restore power to Lakeshore Drive, including all fraternity and sorority houses.

Sunday Shuttle
To assist students who need to shop for supplies, the “Sunday Shuttle” will run both Saturday, Sept. 6, and Sunday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the regular route,

Campus Transit will resume on Saturday, Sept. 6, and will run until one hour before the curfew. Currently, the curfew is 10 p.m., but is subject to change.

Weekend Parking Request
For the safety of your vehicle and to help expedite the campus clean-up effort, students, faculty and staff are asked to park their cars in parking lots instead of along streets. Please follow this parking change request throughout the weekend.
When classes resume Monday, September 8, regular parking guidelines will go back in effect.

Power is now available to most of the campus
Entergy and the LSU co-generation plant are now powering LSU's campus. After the 6:30 p.m. planned switch, power returned to most of the central campus. Buildings on the periphery of campus are on the Entergy power grid, and may still be without power. Some buildings remaining without power include Lakeshore House, Edward Gay Apartments, and LSU Press.

Student Recreation Complex Opens Friday
UREC will re-open the Student Recreation Complex beginning Friday, September 5th.

Blackout Expected at 6:30 p.m. on LSU's campus
Full electrical power is about to return to campus. The switch from the LSU co-generation power plant back to Entergy will cause a blackout that could last about an hour. Expect the campus to go dark at approximately 6:30 p.m. tonight. LSU officials have been working nonstop with Entergy to ensure this transition is as smooth and rapid as possible. LSU has notified its students, faculty and staff via text message, broadcast e-mail, student media, and the LSU web site.

Transit and Bus Services

Wage Payroll Information
For employees scheduled to receive payment on Friday, payroll is operational and the University will be depositing payroll using direct deposit this Friday, September 5. The University is mailing paper checks on Wednesday, September 3, to anyone without direct deposit.

The LSU EOC has announced that the university fervently hopes to reopen next week. Due to the post-hurricane damage assessment and cleanup effort, LSU will remain closed through Friday, Sept. 5. Circumstances permitting, LSU intends to resume classes Monday, Sept. 8.

Tiger Day and Family Weekend Postponed
Due to Hurricane Gustav and LSU's continuing efforts to reopen the campus, LSU Tiger Day and Family Weekend are postponed this weekend. Both events are rescheduled for November 15 to coincide with the recently rescheduled LSU v. Troy football game.

LSU-Troy Game Postponed Until November 15
The LSU vs. Troy football game, originally scheduled to be played in Tiger Stadium this Saturday night, has been postponed until November 15 in the wake of Hurricane Gustav. November 15 was an open date on the schedule of both schools.
