Please be aware that this index of courses and institutions is not comprehensive. We will accept all college-level, academic coursework from regionally-accredited institutions for transfer credit. This list reflects courses that have previously been evaluated by our faculty for transfer equivalency to LSU. If you do not see your course under your institution that does not mean it will not transfer to LSU. We will continue to update this list as we evaluate incoming transfer credit on a regular basis. Only domestic coursework from regionally accredited institutions, and international coursework from institutions recognized by their country’s Ministry of Education, will transfer to LSU.
LSU Transfer Credit Examples:
1. Direct Equivalent Transfer - if your transfer course is determined to be an exact equivalent to the corresponding LSU course, your
course will be assigned an LSU course number:
EXAMPLE: ENGL 101 = ENGL 1001
2. Transfer by Title – if your transfer course has not yet been evaluated by faculty or is determined not to be an exact equivalent to a LSU course, your course is transferrable
by title:
EXAMPLE: ENGL 200 = ENGL 2*** Comparative Literature

3. Developmental Courses – Developmental/Remedial coursework generally starting with “0” will not transfer to LSU.
4. Vocational Courses - Only courses that are academic in nature will transfer to LSU. Vocational courses are not accepted for degree
credit.
