The Tournament
The LSU Department of Dairy Science is one of the few remaining true "Dairy Departments" having an undergraduate curriculum with concentrations in Dairy Foods Technology and Dairy Production.  Our graduates are highly sought after and in an effort to lend support to attracting quality students to our program we are sponsoring the twelth annual LSU Dairy Science Alumni Scholarship...

We believe that it is extremely important that we do everything possible to assist today's students in becoming tomorrow's leaders in the dairy industry. Development of a strong scholarship program is important to the continued growth of the Dairy Science undergraduate program at LSU.

Come join us at the LSU Golf Course for some exciting golf and compete for outstanding prizes.  And remember, all proceeds benefit LSU students.

The Scholarships

For the 2004 - 2005 school year the Department of Dairy Science awarded a total of thirty scholarships with a value $1,800 each. These scholarships were awarded based on funds raised from the Annual "Le Lait" Golf Classic and also from existing departmental scholarships.

A strong scholarship program is a major asset in helping to recruit freshman and transfer students into the Dairy Science program at LSU. Our current goal is to raise funds for entry level and continuation scholarships. Because of continued increases in the cost of a college education, it is becoming more and more important that we develop a program to assist students today in becoming tomorrow's leaders in the dairy industry.
