The Main Ceremony
Maravich Assembly Center – Friday, May 16, 2008

7:45 a.m.	Doctoral candidates and their major professors assemble at the northwest portal of the Assembly Center.
7:45 - 8:30 a.m.	Seating of the Bachelor's and Master's Degree canditates.
8:45 a.m.	Procession: Mace bearer, faculty, University Medalists, Doctoral candidates and major professor, platform party.
9:00 - 10:30 a.m.	Graduation Ceremony
The main ceremony will begin when the platform party is on stage (at approximately 9:00 a.m.) and lasts about one and one-half hour. All graduates and their guests are asked to remain throughout the entire ceremony. There will be no rehearsals, and there is no limit in attendance for the ceremony.

Parking

Parking on campus for graduation is available in all student lots at no charge and with no permits required. Graduates and their guests should plan to arrive early to avoid traffic delays.

Photographs and Videos

All graduates will be photographed receiving their diploma. Individual proofs will be mailed to graduates' Home Mailing address approximately two weeks after commencement. If necessary, please use PAWS to update your address. To inquire about photographs, please call Graduation Photos at 225/767-2789 or 1-800-251-1529, Monday - Friday, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Guests may use personal cameras and camcorders in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, but guests are not allowed on the floor where the graduates are seated during the Main Ceremony.

University videographers capture video for the Spring and Summer commencements only. At this time, the video covers only the Main Ceremony. * To order videotapes or DVDs please use the Graduation Video Order Form. For additional information contact the Video Production Office at 225/578-2226.

	1.	Download the form.
	2.	Type information onto the form in Adobe Acrobat using the "Hand Tool" to select the area in which you wish to type.
	3.	Print the form.
	4.	Mail the form along with payment to the address indicated on the form.

*Please Note: At this time, no video coverage is provided for the individual ceremonies of any Commencement (Spring, Summer or Fall). Because Fall Commencement does not include a main ceremony, no video is offered.
